Bahrain's Newest Private Jet Charter Company Takes to the Skies - 16 June 2009
Manama, Kingdom of Bahrain, 16 June 2009 – MAE Jet Charters is Bahrain's most recent entrant into the private jet charter business. The Company specializes in providing charter aircraft for V-VIP guests, high net worth individuals, corporate customers and those who understand and value the benefits of private aviation; higher levels of security, safety, convenience and service.
MAE Jets is part of Bahrain's MENA Aerospace group of companies. It is based in Manama with representation in the UAE and Saudi Arabia. It has alliances with major travel agents, charter brokerages and aircraft operators throughout the world. MAE Jets is the exclusive charter reseller of a new Bombardier Challenger 300 nine-passenger business jet, which is registered and based in Bahrain, and its staff is trained to European levels of service, quality, customer care and procedures. The Group's aircraft are operated by MAE Aircraft Management, a sister company to MAE Jets.
Since MAE Jets' soft launch in March this year sales volumes have grown substantially. Commenting on this, Ferah Senkaya, MAE Jets' Sales Manager said, "Whether for corporate travel to mainstream destinations or family vacation travel, especially to non-gateway cities, chartering a private jet is more efficient and cost-effective once you take into account airport congestion, check-in times, connection times and flights delays. The convenience, comfort, privacy and near-unlimited baggage capacity are simply added bonuses."
MAE Jets' charter service is available for short-term single trips, or longer term charter agreements including pre-purchased blocks of hours at reduced rates. Owners of business jets can outsource chartering of their aircraft to MAE Jets. MAE Jets sells time on the aircraft to third parties when the owner is not using it. This helps the owner offset the aircraft's operating costs.
Ralph Eisenschmid, MENA Aerospace Group's Chief Operating Officer and acting Chief Executive Officer stated that “The MENA Aerospace group continues to see excellent potential for General Aviation in the Kingdom of Bahrain. It is strategically located to serve the Middle East and Asia. Bahrain also has a highly skilled workforce and forward thinking regulators at Bahrain's Civil Aviation Affairs.”
John Bavister, MENA Aerospace Group's Chief Financial Officer said “We managed the start of this business in a careful and orderly manner and are well placed to accelerate our expansion now that the economy is starting to show signs of having bottomed out. The MENA Aerospace group is ready to participate and benefit fully in the economy's recovery.”
